Finally, I'm going back for good

I'm writing this entry from LCCT right now. But I'm not going back to the Land Below the Wind tonight, not until tomorrow. Just spending the night here with hubby because we're now homeless. Today is going to be my last day here in West Malaysia. Finally, I'm going back for good.  I'm going to teach at my own place starting next year. Thanks to my families and friends for all the prayers. Actually, I've been having all sort of feelings since the day I knew about the result. I've been teaching and living here for 4 years and it is really hard for me to leave. I'm already in love with my special students and I have many friends here. But I just have to leave and be with my families. Hubby consoled me by reminding  about my commitments towards our families and said that sooner or later, I will still have to go back. I know about that la darling, I'm just being emotional about the whole thing. Well, that's just the typical me..Enough with those emotional ramblings.

The day after I knew about the good news, I began packing all my things. And I just finished packing all my things and cleaning my rented house this morning. That means I took 3 weeks just to pack my things, shipped them and my car back to KK, cleaned the house, threw away all those unwanted things and sold those recyclable items to a recycle shop. I wonder what took me so long to do all the necessary things. Dearest hubby, thanks for coming to help and support me...

Starting tomorrow, I no longer live ALONE in a big house, no more sleeping at night ALONE, no need to worry when night falls and no more worrying over those negative and frightening things. I just need to get along with Miss Rogonna a.k.a si hantu@rogon in our house in KK.. betul ni... I'm surely delighted to be able to go back but I'm afraid of one thing. Getting fat is what make me concern. I don't think I can resist food in KK. Matai nah... Can I maintain my 45kg weight like now? I guess we'll just wait and see.

Everyone is in the mood of Christmas but mine has not come yet. Same goes to the school holidays' mood. I'm just not into it yet... Gila betul... Hopefully when I reach KK tomorrow, all the moods will come to me and be kind enough to stay longer with me. Hopefully a new year will bring a great new beginning for me.

That's all for now people.. Till the next post. Thanks for reading my entry yang caca marba ini...

I'm in love with Lomo...

Analogue photography is so yesterday but I'm in love with it. But since getting a lomography camera is not going to be fulfill, I still have fun editing my photos into lomo effect using Photoshop and other program like picnik.com, photoscape, illustrator etc.... I love the not-so-perfect looks of the lomo pics but don't get me wrong, I still fancy all the digital photos taken nowadays... Lomo just brings back all the memories when we were using our analogue camera long time ago... Yes, I'm in love with you, dear Lomo... for now. Sa ni hangat-hangat taie manuk ja ni kadang-kadang...

Great Loss

One of my lovely students father's passed away this morning at the age of 49 due to heart attack. It was really a shocking news because the deceased was actually very close to us. He was a loving husband to his wife,a  great dad to his 3 children and a very supportive person who was kind enough to help us, the special education family in every way he could. I last saw him on July during our trip to Kelantan and Terengganu. I had a chance to visit the deceased's family with some of my colleagues and students this morning around 10.30am but unfortunately we could not see him for the last time because he was already prepared to be buried. This is my first time attending a  Malay or rather a Muslim's funeral and the surrounding was very sad and the weather was gloomy. I shed some tears when I wave good bye to the family. It was really a sad Tuesday for me. My heartiest condolences to the family and hopefully they'll have courage to move on with their life.

Suddenly I remember what Fr. Ronnie Luni wrote in his FB wall and it goes like this... “Dalam segala perbuatanmu, dalam segala pikiranmu, hendaklah kamu bertindak seakan-akan hari ini kamu akan mati. Jika kamu mempunyai hati nurani yang bersih, kamu tidak akan terlalu takut mati. Lebih baik menjauhkan diri dari dosa, daripada menghindari kematian. Jika hari ini kamu tidak siap, apakah besok kamu akan siap?

During our trip to Sabah last year
the man standing on the left wearing white t-shirt has gone forever...may his soul rest in peace..

His favourite phrase whenever he meet me.." Cikgu, belum minta transfer balik Sabah lagi kan? Tak payah la transfer balik, cikgu duduk je sini sampai bile-bile."

Our Pre-wedding Photoshoot

Like most couples, Jetro and I had decided to experience the excitement of doing pre-wedding photoshoot. Despite being told not to waste money on this kind of thing by my mum, we just went on with our plan. I was given the full authority by dear hubby to hunt for bridal gallery and it was not really a simple task because I just relied on magazines and the net to hunt for one. I end up choosing nothing at the end of the day. When the time came for hubby asking for my final decision, I simply said "Monliza" just because this bridal gallery keeps on appearing in most of the magazines I bought and on the net. Some may say I made the wrong or irrational decision but who cares anyway, right? Here are some of our photos taken during our pre-wedding photoshoot in February 2010. All the wedding gowns were chosen by dear hubby.. happy

What's the big deal?

Aricco Jumitih, who's that? Some of you might know who's the guy. Yes, he is the Commonwealth weightlifting gold medalist.. Perhaps winning that gold medal and RM80,000 is the best things ever happened in his life but now he's facing another problem, just because he wore a vest with a Sabah flag on it during his event in New Delhi this week. For more information, just click HERE...

I'm just wondering what's the big deal about that vest. He helped Malaysia won that gold medal, doesn't he? That is more important than anything else. Sabah is also part of Malaysia, right? So, why mess with him? Hopefully Mr. Arrico will survive all the questionings and for those who bring up this issue, please don't take away his RM80,000 just because of that vest. It is not fair...

Good luck to you Mr. Arrico and I'm proud that you wore the vest with our flag on it....

Another rambling..

Woke up this morning with headache. I'm having it since yesterday and still wondering why Mr Headache comes to visit me on my wonderful day...Still can take it without any medication though. Darn you Mr Headache... Shoo!!! Shoo!!!

I'm done with my spring cleaning which I usually do once a week. Inda kutur juga bah rumah sa, ada abuk sikit2 ja la..big grin  Then I proceed to check on my FB. Nothing interesting there.. it has becomes a little bit boring . Now I'm here rambling about something. Yes, I need to jot down something here. My blog have been in hiatus for quite some time due to the poor internet connection. I missed posting about my wedding which was held on June, my parents 33rd wedding anniversary, my visit to Sandakan during September's school holiday and a lot more...Sabar.. sabar.. One in a time, Wina...

My youngest sister told me that our little puppy, Brutus died last week. May it soul rest in peace...

Brutus sleeps in his favourite place

So long Little Brutus...

Have to stop for a while.. I'm going to have my lunch now. I think my headache is cause by my hungriness.. No offence but biasa la perut Dusun ni , mesti mo ada nasi kali... tongue

Quick Updates..

Hi everyone...It is good to be back here... I miss blogging but in the moment my laptop is not being nice enough with me. Now I'm here blogging from my work place. My last class just ended half an hour ago..

So, here goes the quick updates from me..

I'm a happily married woman despite being apart from my husband. Long distance relationship is not cool at all. Missing my better half all the time and need to find more stuffs to do to keep myself occupied. 2 more days and I'll be going back to my lovely hometown.

No, I'm not pregnant yet.. We're trying our best.

I just knew that I passed my BTN's course.. Thank God for that because I really don't want to attend this kind of course anymore. It was really a torture for me... My blood pressure went up a little bit high after the course. I'll be going to have another check up when I'm in KK. Hopefully everything's fine.

The online application for the transfer is open starting today but unfortunately the education ministry's server is still down and still under maintenance. Haiyaa... Lousy one... This is my 2nd attempt to get a transfer and hopefully this time I'll get a happy result.

I'm going to visit Sandakan for the 2nd time next week with my better half. Not a vacation actually. I'm just going to accompany him for his work assignment there. Looking forward to eat lots of food and maybe visiting Mr. Orang Utan once again because I'm kind of missing him already...:D

That's all for now people... Have a Nice Wednesday...

2 weeks remaining

Kotobian Tadau Tagayo do Kaamatan kumaa toinsanan..

I long to celebrate this festival in my hometown together with my families and friends. 4 years since I was posted here in WM, I've not been able to go home once to celebrate it with my families and friends because Kaamatan or the Harvest Festival is not celebrated here in WM and hence no public holiday for me.. Tapun noh poh lah...

Another sad story of mine.... my application to transfer back to Sabah for this coming June has been rejected.Cisss!!!! angryWill definitely not going to give up and will continue to pray hard to God.. Everything happens for a reason perhaps ...trip mo pujuk diri la kunun ni big grin Just leave the sad stories behind.

It is exactly 2 weeks before our big day. The day Jetro and I have been waiting for such a long time will arrived soon.. Both of us have the same feeling right now, happy and yet nervous.
Since it's only 2 weeks before the big day, perhaps it is a good thing to recall what we've done for the past few months.
  • The interview with the priest had been done and finally the date was confirmed and the wedding will be on 12th June 2010 at St. Theresa's Church, Tambunan at 10 o'clock in the morning.
  • We are actually legally married and it was done on 17th Mac 2010 after getting the permission from the priest.
  • The pre-wedding photo shots were completed and we already collect all the pictures together with those big sized pictures with frames. We don't know how to send all the framed photos back to KK. Will figure it out later.
  • Finally found the suitable photographer and videographer after a long discussion with my better half. When there are too many choices, we end up choosing nothing and that is very true. When it comes to select the bridal gallery and also the photographer and videographer, we have to really make the smartest choice.. Do we make the right choice? Hopefully yes...
  • Found the attire for the bride, groom, bride's maid, best man and flower girls.
  • My families were in charged in the food and drinks and they told me everything was ok..
  • Found the wedding rings and my shoes.
  • Saldivilla Wences will be my makeup artist for the day.
Done with those things above but they are still so many things to prepare.. The church decorations, the cake, the decorations for the house and car, the wedding bouquet and so on... My mum called me yesterday to calm me down and said that everything will turn out to be good when the day arrives.. Really ka this? Just hope for the best... I can't wait to go back to Sabah next week...big grin

That's all for now people... till the next post..

Remember, don't drink and drive...Have a wonderful holidays!!!

Hugs and kisses...

1 month?

Yes, 1 more month until we become husband and wife.
Time really flies. I still remember 4 months ago when Jetro and I announced to our families that we were ready to take our relationship to the next level. Everyone was happy, even happier than us. Thank God. Can't blamed them for being so excited because we did postpone our big day once sometime last year due to some circumstances.

So the preparations went on straight away after the announcement. Both of us managed to settle down some important things which only us can do them for ourselves. Thanking God again for His guidance and help.

It is hard for us to do the preparations because we are not in Sabah and both of us work in West Malaysia but fortunately, we have families who are willing to help us for the event. Doing the preparations when we are far away is not an easy task to do.

Unexpected things will surely happen all the time and this one really hits us on our face
confused. When both of us busy preparing things together, suddenly a bad news occurred out of no where, Jetro was asked to transfer back to KK crying That one forced us to look at the positive side and yes he can help with the preparation in Sabah. But..... the sad thing is, I'm all alone here with no one to talk to and have to depend on my own in whatever I do sad... This is really a challenge for us and I can't denied that there are a lot of sacrifices involve....
But come what may, we are determine to make it work..

thumbs up

Till the next post.. Will blog about the preparations in the next post..
big hug & kiss

Death

I received a very shocking news from my colleague today. Our dearest friend just passed away this early morning due to a sudden stroke. We just met him on a meeting few days ago and now he's gone forever. The death is so sudden and easy. He collapsed at his house, been coma for few hour and the next thing we knew, he's gone. We lost a good teacher and a friend. May his soul rest in peace.

Lately, I've been surrounded by unpleasant news and they all are related to death. Death, the word which probably hated by some or maybe a topic some people will try not to talk about. It's because everyone is afraid to die I guess.. who doesn't anyway?

I've been thinking about it too and I must confessed that I am afraid to die, and it's for one simple reason, I am not ready yet. My father once said, we should not be afraid of death. It's a wonderful thing because death brings us to an eternal life with our Lord Jesus Christ. My dad said it is no use living in this world reaching 100++ years old but burden everyone else. How I wish I can have that kind of mind now. Thanks for the wise thought daddy.

Until now, I still can't imagine myself to be dead. But in the meantime, lets just hope that if the time comes, we are ready to face our Lord face to face. So, be good while we are still on earth, served one another and give thanks in everything. Are these enough for me to enter the kingdom of God? I'll never know. Just hope for the best and be prepared all the time..

Till the next post people..

Rambling

First of all, Happy Labour Day everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day today.

Its a very fine Saturday, the weather is bright here in Klang today and I'm in a very good mood to stay at home doing my spring cleaning.

I miss my better half... Living alone is not my thing anymore and having a long distance relationship doesn't really suit me anymore.... Hoping the best for my transfer application to be approved so that I can contribute something for the special children in my own place and to be with my families again. Really pity my mum who worried so much about me living alone here. She calls me all the time and doesn't sleep very well every night thinking of me... No matter how many times I tell her that I'm okay here, she just can't get over it. Sorry mum for making you worried.... God please bless my mum... Writing about this make me wanna cry... So let just go to another updates about me.

Our pre-wedding photos finally arrived last week. We're so happy to see all the photos.

The sneak peek...

All my friends around keep asking this same question to me.. " Don't you think it is time for you to further your study now?" "Go and get a master degree lah,"they said. How do I explain to them that getting a master degree is not my priority now. I'm craving to have my own family. I want to have a wonderful husband which I already have and we're striving our goal to have our own kids. Just as simple as that. Do I care when someone says that I'm desperate? Do I care when someone says that I'm just interested in the love making? No, I don't give a damn. Who am I to jugde them, rite. Tik... tok...tik...tok.. My biology clock is ticking and I'm not sure about my fertility level now and I feel like racing against time. For me, I"ll choose my family above all things.. Having a conversation with my boss about this topic yesterday and it was a very interesting one. The lovely lady gave me some good advices. Thank you boss....
Why am I getting so emotional here?? ^_^

Ok people... That's all for now. Have a blessed Saturday everyone. Need to do my spring cleaning now...

Confused!!!!!!!!

Its been 3 years now and they still confused us.. They fail to recognize who is who and this really annoys us... yes it's annoying people.. It's bothering us when you people keep calling us with the wrong name..

Carol and I were course mate when we were in uni and luckily we were posted to the same school in the year 2007.. And all of a sudden, the confusion began to take place. Most of our colleagues were having problem recognizing who is who and they kept calling me Caroline and vice versa. We accepted this confusion and we never failed to correct them when they seemed to be needed one and sometimes we just ignored their mistake. We were okay with it at first. Day after day, month after month and year after year... the confusion between us does not seem to find its own way out and until today they still called me Caroline and Caroline as Edwina. Alamak.... Paning kepala!!!!!

I don't have this problem with my special education's colleagues. They never confuse us. Its happened to most of the mainstream teachers, my principal and even all the clerks in my school.

We once asked them why they were sooo confused and they gave us this answer:
"muke korang same la, tinggi pun lebih kurang same, badan pun same juga.. tak tau macam mane nak beza kan.. Macam adik beradik kembar je.." Trus mo pingsan kami dingar ni... Then again they make this generalization about Sabahan... "Muke orang Sabah semua same je la..." Pingsan lagi kali kedua.. nasib baik ndak koma ja... I forgive them for the lack of informations about my beautiful Land Below the Wind... But making such a generalization does not seems to be appropriate for me...

I'm not angry with them... Just hoping that at least they make an effort and try their best to remember our name and who the name really belongs to. This confusion really make me more confuse, confuse tahap dewa suda ni... Takkan 3 tahun lebih suda dorang masih confuse kan...

Other than being female and having those complete set of body parts, apa lagi yg sama ni??? teda pun....

Meeting???

I have to attend a meeting in Malacca tomorrow together with my colleague. Guess what, this novice driver will be going to drive to Malacca for the first time.... Hopefully we'll arrive safely. When I told Jet about this yesterday, he was anxious and made me promised not to drive more than 80km/h....

O Almighty and merciful God, who hast commissioned Thy angels to guide and protect us, command them to be our assiduous companions from our setting out until our return; to clothe us with their invisible protection; to keep from us all danger of collision, of fire, of explosion, of fall and bruises, and finally, having preserved us from all evil, and especially from sin, to guide us to our heavenly home. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Another update, I feel stress reading other bloggers entry about their wedding preparations... Mulau kan, sepa juga suruh baca. Gosh, so many things to be done even though I just want a simple kampung style wedding....

Till the next post... Happy Sunday..

It's for real

Been busy lately... Mcm la hari-hari tidak busy. But this time I'm super busy. That's why this blog of mine has been in silent mode for quite some time.

I went back to my hometown during CNY break, did the interview with the priest in my church just after the Ash Wednesday mass and finally the date has been confirmed. Our Big Day will be held on 12th June 2010 in St Theresa's Church Tambunan at 10.00am.. <span class= In the afternoon, we went to Tambunan Registration Department to settle all the documents required for a civil marriage. And 17th Mac will be the date we are going to get our marriage certificate lol.. That means I am going back to Sabah once again... I'm so happy.. Can't wait to be back home once again. But this coming school holiday will be a busy week for me. Have to settle a lot of things for our big event. This is the only time for me to do our wedding preparations because after this Mac holidays, I am only going back to Tambunan 1 week before the wedding. Oh my God, how am I going to do all the necessary things for just a week??? I'm beginning to feel the great stress already.

Thank God both of us already did our pre-wedding photoshots in Monliza Wedding Castle in SS2 PJ. Never did I know that doing photoshots could be soooo tiring. Thinking back I could never believe myself that both of us could survived the 12 hours shooting... Gila eh... During the photoshot, I ate only biscuits + bread and drank plain water... Have to skipped the meal in order for me to fit into my gowns and surely I don't want my boroi to pop out saying hello to everyone there.. My whole body ached after that photoshot because I was asked to climb tree, piano and stairs along the process. and Jet had flu immediately after the photoshot... kesian cry We went to select the best pictures 2 days after that and we were surprised with the outcome. We never expect that those pictures would be like that...

We have so many things to do before the big day... stress level going up and down right now... I can't believe this is for real...

Till then people... Have a nice day..

Holidays...

menari Its holiday again.. 9 days of holiday to be exact. I'm going back to KK tomorrow to settle a few IMPORTANT things. If not for that reason, of course I won't be wasting that much $$ for just a short holiday. I bet you all know how the airplane prices hike up during festive seasons. But it was kind of a last minute decision due to the uncertainty of my school's CNY holiday... Sekejap cakap dapat cuti, sekejap cakap cuti tia approve.. so hari ampat sama hari lima perlu kerja sebab tia dapat mohon cuti berganti... marah Last-last dapat cuti juga pun..That is the downside of having such a lousy management... It forces me to spent quite a lot of money for the airplane price.. But I'm sure that I'm making the right decision. Sometime we have to sacrifice something to get something better. There is always a trade-off in whatever we do. There is no free lunch in our life. It is the matter of NOW or NEVER... Hopefully those IMPORTANT things can be settled during this short holiday and I"ll blog about it when I come back to Klang.

I can't wait to go back tomorrow, I miss my family and of course my better half.
I have not seen him for three weeks now sigh.

Febrero

My birthday + Valentine's Day + Chinese New Year + School break + The shortest month of the year = I Love February...sengihnampakgigi

I started a new project with my friends today. We are trying to do a mini cross stitch project.. My big boss actually bought those cute little things a very long time ago and found out that they are actually difficult and unsuitable for our lovely students. So, you may wonder why bought it in the first place? Because we tend to forget about our lovely students capabilities sometimes.. nah kan sepa suruh letak objektif telampau tinggi.. kiciwa suda last-last.. But, never mind. We, the teachers will finished those projects and sell them at our Mini Pra Ramadhan Bazaar later on.... Nothing goes to waste when it come to us... I think we recycle almost everything in our classroom. We even bring the so called unwanted furniture from every corner of the school to decorate our special education's classroom.. Bravo to all the teachers and students...

So lets get back to the mini cross stitch project, it is a really challenging work I must say. I can't tell how long would I take to finish this one.. My other colleagues had already gave up and said that they won't do the exact picture and they'll do their own design. Well, being an inflexible person, I'll stick to the same image given. But, I can't promise for how long...fikir

Done a little bit..

One more thing, this one is merely just a minta puji punya statement la...For the record, I finally manage to insert all those smiley faces in my blogs... tepuktangan.. yay... seems like I'm the last person to know how to do such thing maybe.. But its better late than never right..sengihnampakgigi

Till then people, have a wonderful Monday... and congratulations to the mum and dad to-be - Carol and Hendrick..
